Job Summary
The League Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and logistical backbone of the Brooklyn School District Soccer League. This role ensures smooth game-day operations, accurate scheduling, and effective communication between the league, schools, and parents. The ideal candidate is highly organized and customer-service oriented.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Coordination & Logistics:
- Schedule and facilitate team matches, ensuring no conflicts with school calendars.
- Manage field permits and coordinate with the Parks Department for field usage.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Coaches to ensure teams are rostered correctly.
- Oversee game day setups, including field marshaling and referee coordination.
2. Communication:
- Act as the primary liaison between the league administration and participating families.
- Address concerns and issues raised by parents or school officials in a timely manner.
- Maintain clear and open communication regarding league standings, cancellations, and events.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sports administration or event management.
- Excellent organizational and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Passion for youth sports and community development.
