2. Head Regional Coach
Job Summary
The Head Regional Coach is responsible for leading the development and implementation of high-performance coaching programs. This role involves overseeing volunteer coaching staff, fostering player development, and ensuring the organization's philosophy is met across the district.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coaching Leadership:
- Develop and implement the coaching curriculum and training programs for assigned teams.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of volunteer coaches, providing feedback for continuous development.
- Serve as a mentor to coaches, helping them improve their tactical and technical instruction.
- Run weekly training sessions for select teams and clinics.
2. Player Development:
- Organize and oversee player assessments and evaluations to ensure a competitive process.
- Monitor individual player progress and provide guidance for improvement.
- Identify talent for the School District Cup and International Tour programs.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience with a proven track record in youth soccer.
- US Soccer coaching licenses (USSF C or higher) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong understanding of player development methodologies (LTAD).
- High moral character and integrity, serving as a positive role model.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
