Job Summary
The Equipment Coordinator manages the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of all league property. This role ensures that every team has the necessary tools (uniforms, balls, goals) to compete effectively and safely. This is a logistics-heavy role requiring attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate digital database of all league assets, including uniforms, balls, cones, and field equipment.
- Coordinate the ordering process for new equipment prior to the start of the season.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels to prevent shortages.
2. Distribution & Logistics:
- Organize and execute "Equipment Pickup Days" for coaches and schools.
- Manage the transportation of heavy equipment (goals, tents) to field locations.
- Ensure all uniforms are sorted and distributed according to team rosters.
3. Maintenance:
- Inspect goals and nets weekly for safety hazards.
- Manage the repair or replacement of damaged equipment.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle (or comfort driving a league van).
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
